Kirsten has over thirty years' experience of logistics management and projects, and combines strong analytical ability with an operational background. Prior to establishing Aricia in 2001, Kirsten held the following full-time roles:
Marks & Spencer: internal consultant within the Logistics Group, working on diverse projects in the Far East, Europe and North America, as well as in the UK - assignments spanned general merchandise, foods and home deliveries.
PE: consultant within a specialist logistics modelling practice, advising customers on the impact of acquisitions, developments and de-mergers on their UK and pan-European physical distribution infrastructure, using supply chain modelling and routeing/scheduling packages.
TNT: manager of the team responsible for strategic transport studies, scheduling and costing in the business development area of the contract services division.
NFC (now DP DHL): managed warehousing and transport operations on behalf of a number of blue chip customers including Mirror Group Newspapers, Boots, Kelloggs & Nestlé.
Kirsten is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport - she is currently an active member of the Retail Logistics Forum steering group and she established the Supply Chain Network in 2004 as part of CILT's London Region activities organising over 100 events between 2004 and 2018. Kirsten has been involved with Women in Logistics since the first meeting back in 2009 - she was Head of Finance for two years when Women in Logistics was a Limited Company, a member of the steering group when it was a forum within CILT UK, and is a Director now that it is again an independent company. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors since 2005 and is an Imperial College Mathematics graduate.
